swim - week of January 13th

We are still exploring options for a practice pool.  We hope to know more in the next few days.  If anyone has contacts or locations with pools, please let us know!  The county office has given the task of finding practice space to the teams so we are on our own to find something. The booster club is working hard to find something. Until then, we will be adding additional dryland practices to maintain fitness and stamina.  These are required. 

Here’s our schedule for the week:
Monday:  no practice 

Tuesday:  long run; Meet the captains in front of the stadium at 4. Dress for running and the weather!

Wednesday:  no practice

Thursday:  weight room: 4-4:45

Friday:  stretching in the weight room 7-7:30; team dinner at the Dale’s house 6-8

Saturday:  Paw Power meet at Adairsville; This is a prelims and finals meet.  Prelims start at 10.  The top 8 from each event advance to finals. There is a 2 hour break after prelims before finals.  We will go to Buckee’s for lunch so bring money.  It will be a long day. Bring plenty of towels and some warm clothes.  Just like our November meet, you will be in the gym and have to walk outside to get to the pool.  I should send out warm up and bus departure times on Thursday. Plan to leave between 6:00 and 6:15am.  

Other reminders:  

We will use your event requests from last week for this weekend. If you want to make changes or didn’t send a request, email your coach by Monday afternoon. 

Parents:  please sign up for the nutrition table on the website.  We need 2 timers for each session.  Check the website for that as well.
